Key Job Description
1) Watch out for fire hazards in the workplace while work is performed.
2) Maintain the conditions and requirements stated on the safety permit.
3) Keep flammable materials away from ignition sources.
In the event of a fire, extinguish it immediately or activate the fire alarm.
4) Stop operations if any hazardous condition is detected.
5) Maintain a constant means of communication and, as much as possible, keep visual and voice contact with team members.
6) Before and during each shift, inspect the entire work area for potential releases of flammable vapor or liquids.
7) Be prepared to operate fire extinguishers, hydrants, fixed monitors, and hose carts at any time.
8) After all operations are completed, ensure there are no hot sparks, burning embers, or other fire hazards before leaving the worksite.
9) Return all fire-fighting equipment to their original location.
Minimum Qualifications
1) Skilled and time-served rigger with at least three (3) years of offshore experience.
2) Must possess a recognized Rigging/Slinging Certificate or equivalent.
3) Fully conversant with the principles and techniques of fire prevention and fire fighting.
4) Have attended an Advanced Fire Fighting Course or equivalent.
5) Familiar with COMPANY and CONTRACTOR Safety Rules and Regulations.
6) Fully conversant with safety and permit-to-work procedures.
7) Valid OSP and all relevant safety training for offshore site execution.
