General Inspector (GI)
1) Diploma level and certified to at least one of the following; Certified CSWIP 3.1/PCN Level II and certification must be currently valid during time of employment.
2) Certified CSWIP-BGAS level 2 or higher/ NACE level 2 or equivalent and must be currently valid during time of employment.
3) 10 years’ experiences as Piping/ Mechanical QA/QC Inspector (with EPCC CONTRACTOR / Client) or higher position.
4) Technically qualified and able to demonstrate an extensive knowledge of piping/pipeline fabrication and construction methods for the upstream/ downstream oil and gas industry, including structural codes and standards, regulatory requirements.
5) Technically qualified and able to demonstrate experience and a working knowledge of PFD’s; P&ID’s; Piping Isometrics; Piping GA’s; Materials Selection; Pipe Support methodology, techniques and applications; piping NDT methods; hydro-testing & leak testing; onshore piping fabrication and construction methods for the upstream/ downstream oil and gas industry, including codes and standards, regulatory requirements, and operational and maintenance requirements.
6) Technically qualified and able to demonstrate experience and a working knowledge in inspection of mechanical static/rotating equipment, alignments; machinery set-up; foundations and levelling methods; preliminary testing; welding and common NDT methods.
7) Experience and knowledge in welding procedures and techniques and NDT methods
8) Knowledgeable in welding, NDT, NACE, SSPC, British Standard, codes or other industry codes and standards related to Painting inspections.
9) Knowledgeable in welding, NDT, ASME B31.3/ASME B31.8/ASME IX/ASME VIII/ASTM/API 1104/ API 675/ ASME V codes or other industry codes and standards related to piping, pipeline, static and rotating inspections
